In this module, Janet Davis, MSN, RN, GNP, CWOCN, explains how medical adhesive plays an important role in protecting skin health and in ensuring patient safety. In this webstream, you will learn how to use medical adhesives while ensuring patient safety in patients with fragile skin. In addition, Janet Davis will teach you how to understand the incidence of patients with fragile skin and how to identify risk factors associated with the use of medical adhesives. She will also teach you how to select the right medical adhesive product based upon the characteristics of the patient and the intended use of the tape.
